Focus on what matters.
This week, I am refocusing my goals and creating an updated to-do list.
As we all know, things change. I posted 2 weeks ago that I was prepping for a show somewhere between 3.5-4 months. That’s recently changed to 5-6.5 months. Change of bikini show date , change of priorities. Change of cookie butter inventory.
So now I’m focusing on a few new things. I’m readjusting for what matters right now. Moving homes, new relationship, new career choice…just to name a few. And, to help me do refocus, I break down my to-do’s into 4 categories.
Important & urgent
Important but not urgent
Not important but urgent
Not important & not urgent
It is hard sometimes to finish all of #1. When that happens, though, it’s easy to then move on to the tasks listed in #2 and #3. This helps me to get the things done that I need to, plus I can make sure I’m prioritizing efficiently. I usually do this on a weekly basis.
Thinking beyond average means that you can and will incorporate healthy living into your important and urgent section. For example, today I had food prep in that section. If I pushed it off I wouldn’t be fueled properly and would be stressed out to make or buy food. However, I prioritized that into my list and am able to focus on what matters. You can continue checking things off because you have strategically planned out your week ahead. Because we all know that achieving the end result requires incorporating the right and necessary ingredients.
I challenge you. Create this chart and refocus on what matters. Always tend to the the things that are urgent and important first.
